At 5 years old, I had an epiphany…

While making a magic window, the crayon I was using broke. I discovered different ways of using the medium to create the same effect. This made an impression on me that has had a life-long effect.

At 16, I was selected to go to Parson's School of Design for a gifted young students program. I received a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. While attending, I was a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) in the textile department teaching color theory and dye classes. For many years, I was an active member of Chicago’s Lillstreet Art Center and worked as a TA while honing my craft and ceramics knowledge there.

Currently I’m living and working in Chicago. Studio work and teaching one-on-one with private clients nourishes my passion for creating, teaching, and sharing my knowledge and experience.
